Are Sadiq Khan and Rishi Sunak related ?

I ask because both are joined at the hip in reminding us of their parents work, Khan had a father who was a bus driver and his mother a seamstress and Sunak had a parent who was a pharmacist and the other a GP.

I get their reasoning for reminding us, it’s to give them some normality but the reality is we don’t need it on every appearance.

I have a friend who works at the House of Commons, every other day she posts something reminding her so-called friends on Facebook.

We have had the conversation asking is it that necessary that you remind us all constantly of your place of work, she beats around the question but in my opinion no it’s not warranted.

Ironically I was in the company of a mutual friend recently and she said do you see how many posts xxxxx on her place of work, she ended with ridiculous, I ended in agreement.

I’m not saying it’s not an interesting place to work but that is what you are doing, mind you I blame the people who like,comment or otherwise on the posts.

Did you know ?

In another life I worked for seven years at The Dorchester, much more interesting than working at the House of Commons but in that time we did not have social media, even if we did would we post like today ?

I doubt it.

A doorman friend from The Dorchester had met anyone and everyone in his 40 years at the hotel but unless you knew him and his place of work you’d hear nothing of his experiences and rightly so.

As he always says, I only work there …….

In the mid/late 80s I worked for a period of time at Kensington Palace, a handful know it and less know of the experience.

Size matters …..

If any friend tells you small or less is better, unfriend them, we don’t need such negativity in our lives.
