February 4th is World Cancer Awarness day.
The most common type of Cancer in women in the U.K. is Breast Cancer which accounts for around 30% diagnoses.
The most common type of Cancer in men in the U.K. is Prostate Cancer with more than 52,000 cases diagnosed each year.
The most common type of cancer in Children and young people across the U.K. are Leukemias, which affect the blood and Bone marrow.
With more routine screening tests, cancers could be detected at earlier stages which could mean more lives saved.
My thoughts are with those who have lost a loved one due to cancer and likewise with those having treatment.
