It’s the little things that can make the most difference when it comes to inclusivity – just look at the multi-tonal plasters and afro hair swim caps that recently hit headlines.

These inventions offer people of colour greater freedom of choice when shopping, ensuring the market better represents the wide range of people in the UK.

Many also leave us scratching our heads wondering why they’d never been thought of before, much like sexual wellness brand Roam’s new Skin Tone Condoms.

Released today, the range features four shades – Dark Brown, Medium Brown, Light Brown and Original Latex – with consumers able to pick which hue suits them best.

It’s also a world-first innovation, which seems wild given the variety of condoms options already available, from glow-in-the-dark numbers to whisky or even curry-flavoured prophylactics.

A spokesperson from Roam commented: ‘Legacy brands have failed to address nuanced needs of all sexually active communities.

‘The launch of our Skin Tone Condoms presents a choice that has never existed before, one that celebrates individuality.’

The company says its new offering was designed alongside leading experts to ‘be the ‘perfect balance between sensation and safety’.

Roam’s condoms are also vegan, dermatologically tested, PH balanced, and made with up to 40% less plastic than traditional condom foils.

Plus, for every Skin Tone Condom purchased, Roam (partnered with sexual health charity Brook) will give a condom to a community where sex and contraception are stigmatised.

So not only do you get to stay safe in a way that feels like ‘you’, you’re also helping others do the same. Now to find your shade…

Roam Skin Tone Condoms is will available to purchase on Amazon and in Boots and Superdrug stores nationwide.

They’ll be priced at £15 for a pack of 12, £20 for 18, or £35 for 36, and sizes include slim, regular, and large.

You can also save cash with a subscription, which should help avoid being caught short without protection.
