The Heartstopper actor attended the JW Anderson show in London, and is dressing for the time of his life

Kit Connor is essentially a fashion week vet now. The 19-year-old actor, who made his name following his lead role in Heartstopper, hadn't even attended a show last year. Yesterday, he was front row at JW Anderson following other prime real estate slots at Loewe and Kenzo in Paris.
Last year, he told GQ that he found the whole thing slightly intimidating, and in turn his clothing was used as a "shield of confidence". Then, while he still skewed experimental, he still preferred to cover up with an oversized blazer, making the whole a little more… normal.

No longer! Skip forward a few months, however, and he's embracing it all. As he attended the JW Anderson womenswear show at Camden's Roundhouse it was clear to see that Connor felt at home in the presence of fashion's elite. Why? Because his outfit said so.
He wore one of the outre T-shirts from the designer's newest collection (he gets dibs on first bits now you see – we don't make the rules), which came with a print inspired by dancer and choreographer Michael Clark. No jacket, just vibes. His trousers sang to his new self-assurance: cropped in an almost avant-garde way, and cut weirdly wide like those you'd see in one of Yohji Yamamoto's collections, they weren't the sort of thing Joe Public's out there wearing. Instead a key piece in the uniform of a proper fashion guy.
And Kit Connor's that guy.
