Dodgy Menzies

It has been a week and a half for the unsavoury Mark Menzies.

Menzies is said to have called 78-year-old Katie Fieldhouse at 3.15am one day in December claiming he was locked in a flat and needed £5,000 as a matter of “life and death”.

She recounted the conversation, saying the MP rang her up to say: “‘I’ve got in with some bad people and they’ve got me locked in a flat and they won’t let me out until I pay them £5,000.’ I said: ‘I beg your pardon.’

He said: ‘It’s life or death Katie, I need £5,000 from the account.’”

The sum, which rose to £6,500, was eventually paid by his office manager from her personal bank account and subsequently reimbursed from funds raised from donors in an account named Fylde Westminster Group, it is alleged.

I’d struggle to get a friend to help with £5 at that hour.

Menzies is no stranger to scandal and controversy.

A past drama involved a Arent boy, according to reports the rent boy in question was ‘refused entry’ on three occasions, I’m assuming this was from the Border Force not Mark Menzies.

Menzies is not worth of being an MP and should resign rather than losing the whip.

In all honesty the whole story that we know so far is questionable and as one reported in the media this morning, was it Menzies who needed cash rather than the so-called drama.
