It was with great sadness I heard earlier today of the passing of Ben Thapa.
Ben made it to the final with former band G4 when they took part in the first series of ITV's hit singing contest back in 2004.
He was one of the original members of the vocal troupe, which came second in the 2004 X Factor contest, but he left the group in 2018 to pursue his own music career.
I send my deepest condolences to his family, friends and former group members of G4.
