My Mother, Edna Sloan née Little after a short illness sadly passed away on 1st August 2023, it was anticipated that I would have more time with her but somethings are out of our hands.

Mum was born in 1936 in Dumfries and Galloway and once married she remained in the county, my Father passed in 1974 and following my Mum remarrying we moved to England.

My Mum was a very positive person, despite the many obstacles life presented her with and there was many, she would carry on regardless, she often commented that there was always worse off than herself.

Faith played a big part in my Mum’s life, she was a regular worshipper at Trinity in Wimbledon and looked upon it as her second family.

Charity also played a big part in her life, she would often bake for afternoon teas at a care home in Wimbledon Village and for St Raphael’s Hospice in Cheam to help them raise much needed funds.

A treat was visiting Mum and coming away with a Chocolate cake.

Now, I'm not a lover of sharing personal information online but as this is my personal website and is shared with people who know me, I feel somewhat justified in sharing information around the passing of my Mum.

The information is not shared in looking at being a victim, in bitterness, with malice or with any guilt on my part, it is shared showing the depths that some individuals will go in controlling a situation for their own needs.
